ABOUT

Cotton Groves is an affordable housing community built entirely with re-purposed shipping containers located in McKinney, Texas. The development is a collaborative effort, lead by Habitat for Humanity of Collin County along with the innovative expertise of the team at JDL Group, the City of McKinney, it’s Community Development Corporation (MCDC) and a host of other public / private organizations.

35 FAMILIES

35 FAMILIES

Habitat for Humanity of Collin County wants families in need of decent, affordable housing to become home owners. Families can apply via a pre-approval process and our Family Selection Committee will select homeowners based on three criteria: 1) The applicant’s level of need, 2) Their willingness to partner with us (Habitat) and 3) Their ability to repay a mortgage through an affordable payment plan.

35 Townhomes

35 Townhomes

Habitat for Humanity of Collin County is transforming a 2.75-acre strip of land into a 35-unit, affordable housing, town-home community. Cotton Groves will be an eco-friendly, sustainable development and will be the first to utilize re-purposed shipping containers for an entire neighborhood. We have partnered with a team of professionals at the JDL Group to bring this project into fruition.
